Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 2, 2026 · Rocketing Dashboard
This policy explains what information Rocketing Dashboard collects, how it's used, and how it's protected. We've tried to keep it plain and accurate to what the product actually does, rather than generic boilerplate.
1 Who We Are
Rocketing Dashboard ("the Service") is operated by Rocketing LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy applies to information collected through the Service.
2 Information We Collect
We collect only what's needed to operate the Service:
- Account information: your company name, email address, and password. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they're hashed using scrypt, a memory-hard hashing algorithm, before being saved.
- Booking software credentials: the API token and key you provide to connect your EventRentalSystems account. These are encrypted before being stored (see Section 4) and are never sent to or stored in your browser.
- Competitor tracking preferences: the competitor website addresses you choose to add for price monitoring.
- Booking and inventory data: your reservation, customer, and inventory data is read live from your EventRentalSystems account each time your dashboard loads. It is cached temporarily on our servers, scoped strictly to your account, to keep the dashboard fast — it is not permanently stored or retained beyond that operational caching.
3 How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to provide the Service to you: authenticating your account, retrieving and displaying your booking data, tracking the competitors you configure, and sending you password-reset emails when you request them. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to train any model or product outside of serving your account.
4 How We Protect Your Data
- Booking-software credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM, an industry-standard encryption method, with the encryption key held separately from the database.
- Passwords are hashed with scrypt and are never recoverable, even by us.
- Every customer's data — bookings, competitors, credentials — is strictly isolated from every other customer's. No customer can access or query another customer's data through the Service.
- All traffic to the Service is encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
5 Third Parties We Work With
We use a small number of third-party services to operate Rocketing Dashboard, and each only receives what it needs to do its job:
- Railway — hosts the application and our database.
- Resend — sends password-reset emails on our behalf. It receives only the email address and message needed for that specific email.
- Sentry — helps us catch and fix bugs by collecting error reports when something goes wrong in the Service. These reports can incidentally include technical request details (like the page or endpoint involved), not full exports of your business data.
- EventRentalSystems (your booking software) — contacted directly by our server using your credentials to read your bookings and inventory. This connection never passes through or is visible to your browser.
We do not use advertising trackers, analytics pixels, or data brokers of any kind.
6 Cookies
The Service uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. It is signed and marked HttpOnly (inaccessible to page scripts) and Secure (HTTPS-only). We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.
7 Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account information and configuration for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at the email below and we'll process the request — self-service account deletion isn't available in the product yet, so this is currently handled manually.
8 Your Choices
You can update or replace your booking-software credentials and edit your tracked competitors at any time from your account's Settings page. You can change your password there as well, or reset it via email if you're signed out.
9 Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business use by adults operating a rental business and is not directed at or intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy here and updating the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
